The first part of the day belongs to Capri. The boat follows the island’s coastline at a slow pace, moving through sea caves carved into the limestone, past rock arches and hidden inlets, and out into the open water where the Faraglioni three limestone stacks rising directly from the sea come fully into view.

A swim stop here is one of the defining moments of the itinerary. The water around the Faraglioni is calm, clear, and completely sheltered from the open sea. Arriving by private boat means the choice of where and when to stop is entirely yours, with no timetable and no other group sharing the same water.

The Blue Grotto can be included when conditions allow. The skipper will advise on access and timing on the day.

Leaving Capri, the boat sets course across the Gulf toward Ischia. It is a genuine open-water passage and one of the pleasures of the day: Vesuvius on one side, the islands shifting position around you, and the coastline of Ischia growing gradually more defined ahead. The two islands could hardly be more different, and the crossing makes the contrast part of the experience.

The afternoon begins with lunch at a seaside restaurant on the Ischia coastline that can only be reached by boat. No road leads there, which is precisely the point: the table, the water, and the coastline, without traffic or crowds. The skipper coordinates the stop, and the pace of lunch is yours to set.

Before the return, the boat stops at the bay of Sorgeto, on the southwestern coast of Ischia, where volcanic springs release naturally hot water directly into the sea. The result is a swim unlike anywhere else in the Gulf: pockets of warm, mineral-rich water meeting the open sea, framed by dark volcanic rock.
